Sommelier

• Provide professional and personalized wine service to guests
• Develop and offer wine pairings that complement Marea's menu
• Assist in the creation, development, and maintenance of the wine list
• Monitor and manage wine inventory
• Engage with guests to understand their wine preferences and offer recommendations
• Conduct regular wine training sessions for front-of-house staff
• Promote and upsell high-quality wines
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Beverage Director to create seasonal wine offerings

• 3-5 years of experience as a Sommelier or similar role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment
• Extensive knowledge of Italian and European wines, as well as general wine theory, varietals, and regions
• Strong understanding of wine and food pairings, especially with Italian coastal cuisine
• Excellent communication and guest interaction skills
• Proven ability to manage and maintain wine inventory
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality

Certified Sommelier credential (Court of Master Sommeliers or similar)
