Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a sommelier to join our team. We are looking for a professional that share a passion for exceptional service and who infuse enthusiasm and passion into everything he or she does.
Job Responsibility:
Advise the guest on wine selection
Supervise the day-to-day wine service
Select and consolidate the wine list by adhering to the budget and beverage cost, the requests of the guests and the concept of the outlet
Conduct staff training on product knowledge with a weekly frequency
Work closely with restaurant general manager and chef for product development
Responsible for weekly and monthly wine inventories of all F&B outlets
Assist servers with wine service
Check back with guests to assure their satisfaction
Keep in contact with wine storeroom to ensure availability and correctness of products
Requirements:
Previous Sommelier experience in a fine dining setting
Must be a self-starter
Possess a positive attitude
Comfortable working alongside a team of Food & Beverage professionals
Strong communicating skills
Knowledge of wines and food pairing
Must have the legal right to work in Spain
Fluency in English and Spanish
Nice to have:
Experience with and knowledge of Spanish cuisine and wines
