The Sommelier is responsible for curating and delivering an exceptional wine and beverage experience that complements Bvlgari Resort Bali’s culinary philosophy and ultra-luxury service standards. This role acts as a subject-matter expert on wine, champagne, spirits, and non-alcoholic pairings, guiding guests with refined knowledge, confidence, and personalized recommendations. The Sommelier works closely with the culinary and service teams to ensure seamless coordination, optimal service flow, and consistency in presentation, storage, and quality. The position plays a key role in elevating guest satisfaction, supporting revenue growth, and maintaining the integrity of the resort’s beverage program.
Job Responsibility:
Curate and deliver an exceptional wine and beverage experience
Act as a subject-matter expert on wine, champagne, spirits, and non-alcoholic pairings
Guide guests with refined knowledge and personalized recommendations
Work closely with culinary and service teams to ensure seamless coordination and optimal service flow
Maintain integrity of the resort’s beverage program
Ensure staff is working together as a team
Inspect grooming and attire of staff
Complete opening and closing duties
Inspect storage areas for organization and cleanliness
Complete scheduled inventories and requisition supplies
Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, and safety
Complete work orders for maintenance repairs
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees
Follow all company and safety policies
Report accidents and unsafe conditions
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are professional
Welcome and acknowledge all guests
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Ensure adherence to quality expectations
Read and visually verify information
Visually inspect tools and equipment
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
