Job Description:

We are looking for a Sommelier who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits and ensure quality of all food or beverage items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment on a daily basis in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed
  • Ensure all menus in the Restaurant are clean and updated
  • Assist team and DH to assist team in achieving department goals
  • Assist with set-up and cleaning of operational areas
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by Outlet Manager
  • Maintain accurate wine inventory records and ensure timely updates to inventory management systems
  • Follow established protocols for wine requisitioning, including proper documentation and approval processes
  • Ensure optimal storage conditions for wine inventory, including temperature and humidity control
  • Conduct regular audits of wine inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor and manage wine cellar organization to facilitate efficient access and inventory tracking

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of the wine list offered at the resort with extensive knowledge about each wine offered, its background, taste and its regions history
  • Equipped to make recommendations for wine pairings with all dishes served within the resort
  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Previous experience as a Sommelier in a luxury, fine dining location
  • Outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request
  • For Indonesian nationality only
