Technical backbone of the Commercial team, providing scientific authority and technical clarity to support sales relationships and close projects. A strategic unblocker and expert for client meetings, technical proposals, and mentoring the sales force.
Job Responsibility:
Technical Sales Strategy (60%): Be the expert in client meetings
Design winning proposals
Define the scope of complex bids
Enable the Sales team with latest ecology updates
Bespoke Analysis & Expert Delivery (20%): Interpret standardized data and provide narrative
Author technical summaries for key accounts
Act as a billable expert for custom survey designs
Internal Liaison & Quality (20%): Feed market trends back to Ecology team
Ensure commercially-facing content is accurate
Requirements:
Strong background in Ecology (MSc/PhD preferred) with multiple years of experience in a client-centric, commercial role
Experience in species and habitat monitoring using multiple approaches such as visual observations, sensors, eDNA samples, remote sensing
Proficiency in interpreting ecological data
Knowledge of R or Python is a plus
Deep knowledge of TNFD, BNG, or CSRD
