Solutions Architect

• Shaping and delivering technology solutions that align with the university’s strategic goals
• Working across the Digital & Technology function, collaborating with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure system designs are robust, scalable, and fully integrated
• Developing and validating end-to-end solution designs that meet business requirements and align with architectural standards
• Producing clear, audience-appropriate architecture documentation
• Supporting discovery and implementation projects
• Contributing to procurement processes by ensuring new systems integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure
• Playing an active role in shaping architectural governance, contributing to standards, templates, and the Technical Design Authority
• Helping to mature UAL’s architectural practice and ensure the delivery of secure, high-performing digital services

• Proven experience of providing solution architecture across multiple platforms within an enterprise environment
• Ability to deliver complex, large-scale solutions with a focus on security, scalability, and performance
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, ArchiMate)
• Experience designing solutions for on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments
• Experience in solution integration using various protocols and technologies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of an organisation, whether non-technical or technical
