Job Description

NTT Data Greece is looking for a Solutions Architect in Athens to work with our clients in the European public sector. As a Solutions Architect, you will be working with a variety of different clients across multiple industries.

Job Responsibility

  • Define the system architecture, focusing on Java backend, Angular frontend, and Cosmos DB for cloud-based databases
  • Develop architectural blueprints and ensure alignment with business goals and technology stacks
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance, particularly in cloud and distributed environments
  • Act as the main technical contact for stakeholders, guiding high-level design decisions and setting technical standards
  • Collaborate with development teams, stakeholders, and business analysts to ensure solutions meet both technical and business requirements
  • Communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Mentor development teams on best practices
  • Lead technical workshops, reviews, and brainstorming sessions to foster continuous improvement
  • Design systems that integrate with third-party services and internal systems via APIs, ensuring proper data management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 6 years experience in architecture and design experience of similar complex projects
  • Excellent experience in either Spring or Java EE, notably in RESTful web services, dependency injection frameworks and server-side (JSF, Spring MVC) or client-side (Angular) technologies
  • Solid experience of relational database management systems or NoSQL/messaging systems
  • Knowledge of Enterprise architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF)
  • Experience in agile software development processes and methodologies, DevOps approach and associated technologies (e.g. dependency management, CI/CD, cloud-based environments, cloud architecture, REST APIs)
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
