Solution Architect for Market Risk Leading banking client (consulting through FinXL). FinXL is seeking a Solution Architect for Market Risk to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions for complex risk management needs
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures
  • Leverage AWS, ActiveViam, and big data technologies to build scalable and secure systems
  • Integrate and optimise high-performance systems for real-time risk analytics and data transformation
  • Drive cloud-native modernisation initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
  • Mentor technical teams and improve existing architectural processes and workflows
  • Ensure all delivered solutions meet strict regulatory compliance and performance benchmarks

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Solution Architect within Market Risk or Financial Services
  • Deep understanding of market risk concepts, methodologies, and risk management frameworks
  • Technical proficiency in AWS cloud services and ActiveViam (ActivePivot) solutions
  • Hands-on expertise with big data technologies including Spark and Kafka
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and SQL for data warehousing and transformation
  • Proven ability to design high-performance systems in fast-paced, complex environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical visions clearly
