This is a great opportunity to be part of one of the fastest-growing infrastructure companies in history, an organization that is in the center of the hurricane being created by the revolution in artificial intelligence. VAST Data is the data platform company for the AI era. We are building the enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets and make them available for real-time data analysis and AI training and inference. Designed from the ground up to make AI simple to deploy and manage, VAST takes the cost and complexity out of deploying enterprise and AI infrastructure across data center, edge, and cloud. Our success has been built through intense innovation, a customer-first mentality and a team of fearless VASTronauts who leverage their skills & experiences to make real market impact. This is an opportunity to be a key contributor at a pivotal time in our company’s growth and at a pivotal point in computing history. THE ROLE: We are seeking a Solutions Architect to drive VAST Data’s strategic technical alliance with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This individual will serve as the technical thought leader and trusted advisor, working closely with GCP’s product, engineering, and field teams to design, validate, and deliver joint solutions that bring the best of VAST + GCP to customers worldwide. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution—enabling joint solutions, validating architectures for AI/ML and enterprise workloads, and ensuring field readiness across both organizations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the technical lead for the VAST–GCP alliance, defining solution architectures and reference designs
  • Collaborate with GCP engineering, product management, and solution architects to validate integrations and optimize joint offerings
  • Drive solution enablement by creating technical assets such as whitepapers, deployment guides, and reference architectures
  • Support VAST and GCP field teams in strategic customer engagements, acting as the trusted solution advisor
  • Identify opportunities to innovate joint AI/ML and data-centric solutions on GCP with VAST’s platform
  • Influence VAST’s product roadmap with insights from GCP partnership initiatives and customer feedback
  • Deliver technical enablement and training sessions to GCP and VAST go-to-market teams
  • Represent VAST in joint events, webinars, and executive briefings with GCP

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in solutions architecture, systems engineering, or technical alliance roles in the cloud and/or data infrastructure space
  • Deep technical expertise in cloud architectures, data platforms, and AI/ML ecosystems—with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud technologies
  • Proven experience working in or with strategic cloud alliances (preferably GCP, AWS, or Azure)
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, storage, and large-scale data management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage executives, field teams, and customers alike
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
