We are seeking a skilled Solution Architect to join our microservices-driven engineering environment within the ITP&A function. The ideal individual will bring strong architecture experience across Java, Spring Boot, microservice patterns, and event-driven systems. The role involves designing end-to-end solutions, producing high-level and low-level design documents, supporting business estimation processes, and ensuring system scalability, performance, and security. The individual will collaborate closely with development teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, future-ready platforms.
Job Responsibility:
Design and oversee architecture for Java-based applications and microservices ecosystems
Develop comprehensive High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents
Provide VROM estimations for business teams and support planning cycles
Mentor development teams on architectural best practices and design principles
Translate business requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions
Ensure systems meet performance, security, and scalability standards
Conduct code reviews and guide teams on coding principles and quality standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across systems
Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative improvements
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Solution Architect specialising in Java applications and microservice architectures
Strong understanding of microservice design patterns, principles, and distributed systems
Extensive hands-on knowledge of Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
Skilled in event-driven architecture and event processing using Kafka
Strong understanding of data modelling and system design
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerisation practices
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and API management frameworks
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Exposure to TMF Specifications and SAFe frameworks (highly desirable)
Additional certifications such as TOGAF, TM Forum, Scrum, or SAFe are advantageous
Experience with Camunda BPMN is a plus
