Job Description:

The company is seeking an experienced Enterprise / Solution Architect to play a key role in shaping the technical direction of a large-scale financial software platform. This position combines strategic architecture leadership with hands-on engineering work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys designing systems while also building and validating them through code.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and guide the architectural direction of a large financial software platform used by multiple financial institutions
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient systems capable of supporting organisations ranging from smaller financial institutions to large enterprise clients
  • Contribute directly to the codebase by building prototypes, reviewing production code, and validating architectural approaches through implementation
  • Establish architectural standards covering API design, service boundaries, data flows, and system integration
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, platform specialists, and product leaders to ensure consistent and scalable technology solutions
  • Support the evolution of existing systems toward modern cloud-native architectures and microservices-based environments
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to senior engineers while encouraging strong architectural thinking across teams
  • Explore opportunities to integrate AI-driven capabilities and intelligent automation within financial workflows
  • Help teams deliver improvements incrementally, avoiding disruptive large-scale rewrites while maintaining operational stability

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in .NET / C# development
  • Strong knowledge of modern architectural patterns
  • Credibility across the full technology stack including TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks
  • Strong experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems, particularly within cloud environments
  • Ability to modernise existing platforms while ensuring stability and reliability
  • Experience working in financial services or regulated industries would be highly beneficial
  • Ability to guide architectural standards, mentor engineers, and influence technical strategy while collaborating with engineering, data, and product teams

Nice to have:

  • Strong background in cloud platforms, particularly Azure or other major cloud providers
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and distributed service communication patterns
  • Knowledge of API lifecycle management, versioning strategies, and backward compatibility
  • Experience designing scalable data platforms and high-performance database architectures
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, containerisation, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to AI development tools, large language model integrations, or intelligent workflow automation
  • Experience working with domain-driven design, microservices architectures, or event sourcing patterns
  • Previous involvement in modernising legacy platforms within enterprise environments
