The role is responsible for designing, shaping, and overseeing the technical direction of complex projects across the organization. This includes ensuring architectural consistency, scalability, and quality while supporting business goals and cross-team initiatives. Projects can be a detailed technical pitch via an RFP participation in order to win the business of Tier 1 clients, an integration project in flight that involves multiple layers from EM’s product and a smaller scale but detailed solution to a complex feature business demands. The role combines strong technical leadership with collaboration across engineering and business stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Design, architect, and oversee implementation of solutions for integration projects for Tier 1 clients
Work on RFP projects where identifying and presenting the technical solution is critical
Work on any isolated feature for a project with complex scope
Act as a technical driver across multiple initiatives, ensuring architectural consistency, scalability, and long-term maintainability
Translate complex business requirements into scalable, compliant, and technically sound architectures
Define architectural standards, best practices, reference models, governance principles, and operational guidelines
Define CI/CD expectations and contribute to engineering quality standards
Lead discovery and assessment phases, including architecture reviews, gap analysis, technical risk identification, solution scoping
Provide technical estimations and contribute to roadmap planning
Build Proofs of Concept (PoCs) when needed to validate approaches
Support pre-sale and partner discussions with technical expertise
Provide expert advisory on solution design - Performance tuning, Data modelling, Cost optimization
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation aligned with architectural decisions
Guide teams in building future-proof, scalable, and maintainable systems
Ensure technical decisions support both short-term delivery and long-term platform health
Work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (Product, Business, Leadership)
Mentor engineers and support their professional development
Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and promote technical excellence
Act as a role model for engineering culture, ownership, and accountability
Support teams by providing guidance on complex technical challenges
Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and trends
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Solution Architect/ Head of Engineering role
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
Experience within system integration projects
Software development knowledge (.NET/ Java preferred) and database administration (SQL)
Good understanding of software infrastructure
Fluency in English
Nice to have:
Experience with Kafka and Cloud technologies
