As a Solutions Architect within our global flight operations team, you will collaborate with fellow architects, development teams, and other stakeholders to design resilient, feasible, and scalable solutions for our customers. You will also prioritize features that build out the architecture runway, and align with standards.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with other Architects and other stakeholders to align the technical solution with the business requirements and deliver the highest quality solutions via cutting edge technologies
Responsible for the solution architecture life-cycle activities i.e. requirements gathering, architecture design, architecture documentation, architecture evaluation, architecture evolution, etc.
Create, maintain, and prioritize the enabler feature work in the program backlog and help development teams understand and break down the enabler features into user stories as needed
Provide architecture guidance to development teams
Collaborate with other professionals to create/align/evolve development processes and standards
Conduct/participate in non-functional requirement and architecture decision assessments
Defines models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions
Aligns architecture strategy with the organization's business goals and long- term strategic planning for the organization's Information systems
Performs the technical/functional design of the application and infrastructure components of a new solution according to the defined functional design
Requirements:
Experience in software architecture/systems design and team leadership
Experience with software development/architecture on the cloud (preferable AWS)
Experience with data management, data pipelines (preferable Foundry)
Collaborates effectively with others in a team environment
Experience with software design including design patterns, algorithms
Knowledge of architecture design including architecture patterns and anti-patterns
Experience with Agile methodology, and ideally (but not necessarily) Kanban and SAFe
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development
Minimum of 3 years of experience in software architecture
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent
Nice to have:
Experience working on distributed systems, and microservices
Experience with systems integration
Experience working on data-driven and event-driven systems (e.g. Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS)
Knowledge of software security standards and best practices
Architecture certifications
Knowledge of Python, Java, Javascript, SQL, .NET, React.js, Vue.js, and CI/CD tools is a plus, as these are the primary technologies in our organisation
