An experienced pre-sales Solution Architect with extensive exposure to complex, multi-tower opportunities within a large professional services environment
Highly skilled in solution design across one or more domains such as technology, customer care, business services, HR, supply chain or finance
Confident in effort estimation, staffing pyramids, productivity modelling and commercial optimisation for large-scale solutions
Comfortable influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders, including C-level leaders, in a global and matrixed organisation
Knowledgeable about the telecommunications industry, with the ability to align solutions to sector trends and customer expectations
Educated to degree level from a leading university

Job Responsibility

Lead end-to-end solution definition for large, complex opportunities (typically exceeding €5m contract value) across multiple service towers and service units
Engage directly with customers, including senior executives, to understand strategic objectives and translate these into value-led solution propositions
Orchestrate integrated solutions across technology, business services, customer care and corporate functions, collaborating with domain and technology solution architects
Define platform, system and integration architectures aligned to customer requirements and VOIS capabilities
Develop end-to-end delivery, staffing and location models in close collaboration with service tower delivery owners
Drive make-or-buy and partner decisions to optimise use of VOIS assets and the wider partner ecosystem
Consolidate effort, cost and location estimates, ensuring inputs to pricing and commercial teams are accurate, realistic and margin-protective
Quantify delivery risks and certainty, supporting informed commercial and leadership decision-making
Present solutions to customers during bids and orals, acting as solution owner and incorporating customer feedback into iterative proposals
Provide independent quality assurance and solution reviews for both large and smaller service tower-led opportunities

Requirements

A relevant technical degree (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field)
Recognised Technology Architect certification (e.g., enterprise or solution architecture certification)
Cloud solution architect certification in one or more major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in system and solution architecture design
Exposure to machine learning or workflow-based projects is a strong advantage
Programming or framework experience such as Python or TensorFlow is a plus
Familiarity with TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks will be considered an advantage

Job Responsibility

Analyse business and operational requirements and translate them into robust, scalable technology architectures and solution designs
Research industry trends, vendor offerings and emerging technologies (including data analytics, AI, robotics and cloud services) and assess their applicability and value for VOIS
Design and develop new prototypes, proof of concepts (PoCs), pilots and frameworks that demonstrate the potential of innovative technologies for shared services and telecom-centric use cases
Own and govern the end-to-end solution architecture, including business flows, data flows, integration patterns, security controls and GDPR-compliant designs
Define and maintain architectural guidelines, standards and best practices for new technologies within VOIS, ensuring consistency and reusability across initiatives
Lead and run RFI/RFP processes for identified technologies in close partnership with supply chain / procurement teams, and support vendor onboarding from a technical and architectural standpoint
Evaluate solution complexity and estimate the effort required to integrate new capabilities with existing platforms and systems
Review solution designs, code deliveries and deployment approaches, supporting teams in troubleshooting architectural and integration issues
Contribute to and help complete Integration and Operational Design (IOD) artefacts, ensuring that new capabilities are effectively embedded into the operational landscape
Define, oversee and audit user access management approaches and controls within the end-to-end solution, in line with security and compliance standards
