Job Responsibility

  • Solution Architect role focuses on designing digital platforms and supporting cross-functional teams with the implementation

Requirements

  • 10+ years in software engineering, system design and solution architecture for large-scale, transaction-heavy digital platforms
  • Understanding of Retail & Consumer technology landscapes in DACH, including the key digital, platform, data, and modernization challenges facing the sector
  • Relevant experience gained either in-house or in IT services, including experience as a solution/application/platform architect in Retail & Consumer organizations
  • Background in IT services, digital engineering, or product/platform engineering environments strongly preferred
  • Proven success leading cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complex initiatives on time and at scale
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical talent, fostering collaborative and high-performing teams
  • Strong experience working with senior stakeholders to translate business strategy into executable technical roadmaps
  • Fluency both in German and English languages
  • End-to-end architecture experience across enterprise digital platforms, user-facing applications, and backend systems in complex distributed environments
  • Strong background in platform integrations, including: Core enterprise systems and third-party services
  • External APIs and partner ecosystems
  • Payment, identity, and compliance-related services where applicable
  • Hands-on experience modernizing legacy platforms, including cloud migrations, microservices adoption, containerization, and API-first or event-driven architectures
  • Experience designing and integrating AI-enabled solutions into enterprise platforms, including: AI/ML-driven decisioning, personalization, or automation capabilities
  • Data pipelines supporting model training, inference, and monitoring (optional)
  • Integration of AI services into existing digital products and workflows
  • Understanding of MLOps practices, including model lifecycle management, deployment strategies, observability, and governance (optional)
  • Ability to collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to productionize models reliably, securely, and at scale
  • Mastery of architectural patterns for high-availability, maintainable, and observable systems
  • Experience designing scalable data platforms, including: Data ingestion and streaming architecture
  • Data lakes and analytical platforms processing large data volumes
  • Preferred Qualifications: Track record delivering solutions across multi-brand, multi-region, or multi-tenant environments
  • Relevant certifications, such as: AWS, GCP or Azure Architect Professional
