Solicitor

• Review and manage the contractual arrangements of global projects
• Review of contracts and contractual arrangements
• Production of advice
• Undertaking contractual negotiations
• Give advice and support in line with the implementation of Cundall’s legal risk management policies
• Report to Cundall’s Regional Management Boards where appropriate
• Take responsibility for other contractual advice such as the validity or otherwise of requests for assignments of Cundall’s appointments or for additional collateral warranties / third party rights / novation agreements / letters of reliance
• Undertake claims administration, debt recovery work and ad hoc miscellaneous legal advice

• Qualified solicitor with circa 4 years PQE and relevant practical experience
• Experience in construction law and advising and negotiating on professional engineering consultancy appointments (both client bespoke and standard forms)
• Experience in advising on areas like GDPR, IPR, commercial contracts, commercial litigation, professional indemnity insurance and building contracts is highly desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail when analysing and drafting contracts and other legal documents
