Our Personal Injury Department is one of the foremost in the region and has been growing for a number of years. We are recognised in the Legal 500 and ‘Client’s Guide to the Best Law Firms’. We have been shortlisted for national awards for Claimant Lawyer of the Year and Claimant Team of the Year at the National Personal Injury Awards and have twice been recognised as Best Personal Injury & Medical Negligence Law firm in the East Midlands. This year Solicitor and Partner, Richard Teare, was named Personal Injury Law Expert of the Year (England) at The Lawyer Network annual awards. We are currently looking for a candidate with 2-5 years’ PQE as a solicitor, legal executive or a someone with equivalent experience as a personal injury legal advisor, in order to run a busy caseload of mixed fast track and intermediate track EL, PL and RTA personal injury cases and to assist in multi-track claims. The Department has established a reputation for providing a quality and personal service which meets the needs of our clients. The team provides a very down to earth and approachable service working for a variety of clients, with a track record of achieving excellent results. Our team are currently very busy and continually seeking out new opportunities with marketing and business development is openly encouraged. We are progressive in our approach and very forward thinking. The successful candidate will be expected to assume the responsibilities of handling a demanding case load. It will be necessary that the successful candidate is a team player and can communicate well and contribute towards shared objectives of the department. This may involve internal and external training, supervision and support of junior staff, participation in marketing events and generally being able and wanting to build on their experience. We have offices in Lincoln, Newark, Sleaford, Grantham, Boston, Nottingham, Peterborough and Sheffield and this role will be based predominantly in our Lincoln office with flexibility to work from home part time after successful completion of a probationary period.
Job Responsibility
To manage all client work allocated by the Head of Department
To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs
Exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner
To achieve set performance targets
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm’s and client documentation and information
To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm
To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations
Requirements
Law Degree (or equivalent)
LPC qualification
Legal Executive qualification
2 - 5 years PQE as a solicitor or legal executive or equivalent experience as a personal injury legal advisor within a law firm
Excellent IT and case management skills
Previous experience of working with case management systems
Be able to present a professional image at all times to clients and collaborators
Socially confident with good written and oral communication skills
Hardworking and able to work to tight deadlines
