Job Description

We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join our Intermediate Track Team in a dual-capacity role that blends technical expertise with hands-on case management. This position is ideal for a solicitor or CILEX-qualified lawyer with litigation rights who thrives on complex litigation work and enjoys mentoring others. The role encompasses: Case Management: Handling a portfolio of Intermediate Track cases, including litigated matters, ensuring timely progression and resolution aligned with client expectations and business objectives. Technical Leadership: Acting as a subject matter expert, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support to colleagues across the post-litigation process, while ensuring compliance and quality standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage a caseload of Intermediate Track cases
  • Provide technical supervision and mentoring to team members and the wider practice
  • Draft high-quality legal documents, including: Pleadings
  • Interlocutory applications
  • Supporting statements
  • Advise on complex litigation issues, procedural strategies, and risk management
  • Contribute to team development by sharing best practices and delivering training sessions
  • Ensure adherence to professional standards, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance frameworks
  • Collaborate with management to improve processes and enhance client service delivery

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with litigation rights
  • Proven ability to manage a personal caseload effectively
  • Strong drafting skills for applications, pleadings, and supporting documentation
  • Demonstrated experience working to performance targets and KPIs
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure

  • Manage and handle any internal employment disputes – litigated and non-litigated – that may arise
  • Participate in and provide support to an employment law legal helpline, providing advice and guidance to clients as and when required
  • To ensure understanding and compliance with internal SLAs, policies and procedures
  • To review employment policies/ practices across the firm, implementing any changes as and when needed
  • To provide full supervisory support and guidance on technical issues involving matters of employment law
