Job Description

The CSG Disease team are looking to recruit a Solicitor/CILEX Lawyer or Experienced Paralegal to work in the Casualty Disease team. We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member who is looking to develop an ambitious career within a supportive team and growing firm.

Job Responsibility

  • Work on defended industrial disease claims
  • Handle case load of industrial disease claims including NIHL, HAVS, and asbestos related conditions
  • Assist senior lawyers on more complex disease cases
  • Work for a mixture of insurer clients and self-insured companies
  • Undergo full training programme
  • Exercise full compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols on billing and credit control
  • Demonstrate high level of financial management
  • Support marketing and business development activity
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge through training and reading

Requirements

  • Solicitor/CILEX Lawyer or Experienced Paralegal
  • Ideally with experience or an interest in injury claims (not essential)
  • Able to build good relationships within the team and with commercial/insurer clients
  • Awareness of management information and client-driven KPIs
  • Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day-to-day issues
  • Ability to adopt a commercial/pragmatic perspective to legal issues
  • Team oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge
  • Demonstrates alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive)

  • Awareness of management information and client-driven KPIs
