Job Description

Our Private Client Team provides expert, tailored advice to individuals and families on all aspects of personal wealth, estate planning and succession. Recognised for its expertise in complex trust, tax and succession matters, the team advises on wills, trusts, estate administration, inheritance planning, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters, all managed with a highly personal approach. The highly regarded team has three recognised partners in The Legal 500. Collectively, the team is renowned for delivering exceptional client service, technical excellence and practical advice tailored to the needs of each client. The team now have an opportunity for a Solicitor to join them in a hybrid role from their Leicester hub.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertake fee earning work
  • Maintain existing relations with the firm’s clients
  • Assist and help develop new relationships with third party referrers
  • Conduct of private client and related matters on behalf of clients
  • Estate administration for taxable and non-taxable estates
  • Drafting Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney
  • Administration of trusts to include tax compliance work
  • Participate in the growth and future development of the department
  • Maintain orderly and up-to-date files
  • Complete time recording and other management records
  • Use case management programmes to run cases
  • Liaise with clients
  • Liaise with other professionals
  • Legal research
  • Financial control of your own matters
  • Recognise fee-earning opportunities

Requirements

  • 2 -6PQE within Private Client
  • A caring nature
  • Personable, approachable and with a genuine interest in dealing with individuals and their families
  • Basic accountancy skills for reconciling client accounts
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to adapt communication style effectively
