Job Description

Due to recent growth, we are seeking a Solicitor with minimum five years post-qualification experience in Intellectual Property law, to join the team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys handling a broad range of intellectual property (IP) disputes, including trademarks, passing off, copyright and design matters. Joining an existing team of Director and Solicitor, you’ll work closely with the Corporate and Commercial, and Dispute Resolution teams.

Job Responsibility

  • IP protection and strategy: Advising clients on the best strategies to protect their intellectual assets
  • Registration and filing: Preparing, drafting, and filing applications for patents, trademarks, and design rights with relevant authorities
  • Contracts and licensing: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements related to IP
  • Enforcement and litigation: Monitoring for potential infringements of clients’ IP rights and taking legal action
  • Research and due diligence: Conducting extensive legal research on IP laws and prior art

Requirements

  • More than five years post-qualification experience in Intellectual Property law
  • Excellent communications skills
