Job Description:

A leading law firm with a strong national presence is looking to recruit a Newly Qualified to 2-year PQE Solicitor to join its highly regarded Banking & Finance team, based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. The team is one of the largest and most experienced in Scotland, advising a broad client base that includes financial institutions, corporate borrowers, sponsors, and other key players in the finance sector.

Job Responsibility:

involved in a wide range of transactional matters including corporate lending, real estate finance, clean energy and infrastructure finance
supporting on cross-border deals and financial regulatory matters

Requirements:

Newly Qualified to 2-year PQE Solicitor
experience in banking and finance during traineeship
strong drafting and analytical skills
commercial awareness
interest in transactional work
excellent communication and time management skills
proactive and solution-focused approach to legal advice
keen interest in developing expertise across sectors such as energy, hospitality, and technology
collaborative mindset
ability to work effectively across teams

Nice to have:

familiarity with legal technology tools—such as e-signing platforms, document automation, and AI-based contract analysis
