Job Responsibility:
Build and maintain the company’s legal infrastructure, including contract templates, compliance policies, and corporate governance protocols
Independently draft, review, and lead negotiations for complex commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships
Manage corporate secretarial matters and provide end-to-end legal support for financing rounds, M&A activities, and ESOP administration
Monitor the evolving regulatory landscape (e.g., Data Privacy, Labor Law, Industry-specific regs) and ensure proactive business alignment
Select and supervise outside counsel for specialized matters (litigation, tax, overseas expansion) to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality
Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing risk-adjusted legal advice that enables—rather than hinders—business growth
Requirements:
LL.B. or LL.M. from a top-tier law school
Admission to the PRC Bar
Initial training (2–4 years) at a leading Red Circle law firm
A minimum of 3 years of in-house experience within a fast-paced corporate environment or a multinational corporation (MNC)
5–8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
Near-native fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
A 'can-do' attitude with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders
Must be comfortable working as a 'unit of one' while maintaining high standards
