Job Description:

Responsible for the on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of solar field equipment at EDPR NA's operating solar-energy generation site. This role involves completing safety documentation, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • On-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of solar field equipment
  • Complete Lock out Tag out (LOTO) and Tail Board meetings
  • Perform inspections of equipment, tools, and facility
  • Ensure proper operation of solar field equipment including inverters, tracker systems, transformers
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
  • Perform mechanical and electrical component repair and replacement
  • Comply with environmental health and safety programs
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Perform data collection and prepare reports
  • Work with Remote Operations Control Center
  • Perform QA/QC inspections
  • Document work using computer-based service reporting procedures
  • Supervise contractors on site

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of college or technical school education, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 2-5 years relevant experience in solar energy or related industry
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, SQL Server software, facility management and reporting systems
  • Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment
  • Experience with power plant operations and maintenance, solar plant operations
  • Ability to operate motor vehicle and possession of valid driver's license
  • Ability to work around low- and medium-voltage equipment
  • Ability to travel occasionally to other operational sites within US
  • Ability to work overtime on holidays and weekends and work on short notice
  • Ability to respond to site emergencies 24/7
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending for 75% of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions 25% of time
