Job Description:

The Solar FST I will be responsible for the on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at one of EDPR NA's operating solar generation sites. Responsibilities include completing safety documentation, performing equipment inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Job Responsibility:

On-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at solar generation sites
Completing Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Tail Board, and job specific documentation
Performing inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities for compliance
Proactively look for improvement opportunities
Perform mechanical and electrical component repair and replacement
Comply with all environmental health and safety programs
Act as a safety role model
Identify gaps in safety standards
Perform preventive maintenance
Work with Remote Operations Control Center
Perform QA/QC inspections
Facilitate periodic equipment inspections
Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
1-2 years relevant experience in PV Solar or a related industry
Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment (e.g., voltage testers, amp clamps)
Valid driver's license
Ability to operate a motor vehicle
Ability to work around low- and medium-voltage equipment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to solve practical problems
Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
Ability and willingness to work overtime on holidays and weekends
Ability and willingness to respond to site emergencies 24/7
Physical capability to perform tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
Ability to walk .25 to .5 miles per day
Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 60 pounds
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
