The Solar FST I will be responsible for the on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at one of EDPR NA's operating solar generation sites. Responsibilities include completing safety documentation, performing equipment inspections, mechanical and electrical repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Job Responsibility:
On-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at solar generation sites
Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Tail Board, and job specific documentation
Perform inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities for compliance with safety guidelines and environmental regulations
Perform mechanical and electrical component repair and replacement
Comply with environmental health and safety programs
Act as a safety role model
Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM manuals
Work with Remote Operations Control Center
Perform QA/QC inspections
Facilitate periodic equipment inspections and reporting
Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
1-2 years relevant experience in PV Solar or related industry
Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment
Valid driver's license
Ability to operate a motor vehicle
Ability to work around low- and medium-voltage equipment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to solve practical problems
Ability to travel occasionally to other operational sites within the US
Ability to work overtime on holidays and weekends
Ability to respond to site emergencies 24/7
Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 pounds frequently and 60-100 pounds occasionally
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions
