Job Description:

The Solar FST I will be responsible for the on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at one of EDPR NA's operating solar generation sites in Rosebud, TX.

Job Responsibility:

On-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at solar generation sites
Completing Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Tail Board, and job specific documentation
Performing inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities for compliance with safety guidelines and environmental regulations
Proactively looking for improvement opportunities to processes and procedures
Performing mechanical and electrical component repair and replacement
Complying with all environmental health and safety programs
Acting as a safety role model
Performing preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM manuals
Working with Remote Operations Control Center
Performing QA/QC inspections
Facilitating periodic equipment inspections and reporting
Documenting all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures (SAP)

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
1–2 years relevant experience in PV Solar or a related industry
Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment (e.g., voltage testers, amp clamps)
Valid driver's license
Ability to operate a motor vehicle
Ability to work around low- and medium-voltage equipment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to solve practical problems
Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
Ability and willingness to work overtime on holidays and weekends
Ability and willingness to respond to site emergencies 24/7
Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
Ability to walk .25 to .5 miles per day
Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 60 pounds
Ability to occasionally lift items weighing between 60 and 100 pounds
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions 25% of the time
