The Solar FST I will be responsible for the on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at one of EDPR NA's operating solar generation sites. Responsibilities include completing Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Tail Board, and job specific documentation required to conduct PV solar system maintenance safely, performing equipment inspections for compliance with policies and regulations.
Job Responsibility:
On-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment at solar generation sites
Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Tail Board, and job specific documentation
Perform inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities for compliance with safety guidelines and environmental regulations
Look for improvement opportunities to job appropriate processes and procedures
Perform mechanical and electrical component repair and replacement of parts
Comply with all pertinent environmental health and safety programs
Act as a safety role model
Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks
Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM maintenance manuals
Work with and respond to Remote Operations Control Center
Perform QA/QC inspections in accordance with applicable SOP
Facilitate periodic equipment inspections and reporting
Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures (SAP)
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
1-2 years relevant experience in PV Solar or a related industry
Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment (e.g., voltage testers, amp clamps)
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
Ability to work around low- and medium-voltage equipment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to solve practical problems
Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to other operational sites within the US as needed
Ability and willingness to work overtime on holidays and weekends
Ability and willingness to respond to site emergencies 24/7 as needed
Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
Ability to walk .25 to .5 miles per day
Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 60 pounds
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions 25% of the time
