We are seeking a proactive and skilled Solar O&M Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Rajasthan, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the operation and maintenance of solar power plants, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance and longevity of solar assets.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and manage the operation and maintenance (O&M) activities for solar power plants in Bikaner and Barmer, Rajasthan
Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including panels, inverters, and associated electrical equipment
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize energy production
Analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and reliability
Respond promptly to any operational issues or emergencies, implementing corrective actions as needed
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance or repairs
Maintain accurate records of O&M activities, equipment performance, and inventory
Assist in the implementation of new technologies and upgrades to enhance plant performance
Prepare regular reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and system health
Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field
Minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of solar power plants
Proven expertise in solar PV technology, including understanding of inverters, string configurations, and monitoring systems
Hands-on experience with O&M procedures, troubleshooting, and repair of solar energy systems
Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in the power/energy industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
Proficiency in using relevant O&M software and tools
