We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installation Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in solar panel installation, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role involves working on residential and commercial solar projects, ensuring efficient and precise installations.
Job Responsibility:
Install solar panels, inverters and other components of solar energy systems on rooftops and ground-mounted systems
Perform site assessments to ensure proper installation and system performance
Follow detailed blueprints and plans to ensure accurate and efficient installation
Test electrical components and connections to ensure proper functioning
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar installations
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with project managers and customers
Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in good working condition
Provide exceptional customer service and support
Perform work in compliance with current National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations
Maintain accurate digital records /pictures of work performed and materials used
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
technical training or certifications in solar technology or electrical systems preferred
Proven experience in solar installation or a related field
Knowledge of electrical wiring, schematics and blueprints
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
Focused self-starter who enjoys being part of a team environment
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficient with desktop applications and well versed in technology
Ability to establish and maintain professional, positive relationships with both customers and coworkers
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Nice to have:
OSHA certification and other relevant safety training are a plus
