Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installation Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in solar panel installation, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role involves working on residential and commercial solar projects, ensuring efficient and precise installations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install solar panels, inverters and other components of solar energy systems on rooftops and ground-mounted systems
  • Perform site assessments to ensure proper installation and system performance
  • Follow detailed blueprints and plans to ensure accurate and efficient installation
  • Test electrical components and connections to ensure proper functioning
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar installations
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with project managers and customers
  • Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in good working condition
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Perform work in compliance with current National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations
  • Maintain accurate digital records /pictures of work performed and materials used
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • technical training or certifications in solar technology or electrical systems preferred
  • Proven experience in solar installation or a related field
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, schematics and blueprints
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
  • Focused self-starter who enjoys being part of a team environment
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with desktop applications and well versed in technology
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional, positive relationships with both customers and coworkers
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Nice to have:

OSHA certification and other relevant safety training are a plus
