Solar Design Engineer

Develop design proposals for grid-connected solar PV systems across multiple sectors. Produce technical drawings using CAD software, including PV layouts, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection schematics. Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and installers to ensure accurate implementation of designs. Provide design clarifications and modifications to support site engineers as needed. Prepare tender documentation for consultant bids and compile technical submissions. Coordinate with TNB, SEDA, and ST for regulatory submissions, applications, and approvals. Conduct energy yield assessments and performance simulations of solar systems. Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, industry standards, and safety codes. Assist in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and supporting project proposal documentation. Offer technical support to sales teams and clients on system feasibility and design aspects. Stay informed on solar industry developments, new technologies, and best practices.
