This position is integrated into the Renewable Generation Assets platform, within the Solar, BESS, HV and Electrical organizational unit. The main goal of this position is to provide advanced electrical engineering expertise to operating renewable generation assets, acting as a technical authority in matters related to high voltage and low voltage electrical systems of substations, power lines, wind turbines and PV Solar sites. The role includes leading the definition, coordination and technical supervision of maintenance and inspection activities, major corrective actions, retrofits and repairs of critical electrical components, both on-site and in specialized workshops, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, reliability and cost efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Define, approve and continuously improve corporate programs, procedures and technical standards for operation and maintenance activities, tests and inspections of HV/LV electrical systems
Ensure harmonization of practices across regions, technologies and assets, guaranteeing high levels of safety, quality and reliability
Act as technical authority for the analysis and resolution of complex, high-impact or recurrent electrical failures
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) processes, defining corrective strategies and long-term preventive solutions
Validate technical decisions, deviations and non-standard solutions
Lead and technically supervise major corrective actions in operating facilities
Assess all technical, operational and economic aspects of critical interventions, defining optimization strategies and supporting decision-making at management level
Lead the technical assessment of major electrical components, including characterization, compatibility analysis and repair methodologies
Validate repair proposals, testing standards and repair quality, ensuring alignment with corporate requirements
Define and standardize repair and testing methodologies to be incorporated into corporate procedures
Lead and validate commissioning inspections and end-of-warranty assessments
Define acceptance criteria, corrective requirements and technical conditions for asset takeover and long-term operation
Define technical specifications and selection criteria for engineering and maintenance service providers
Act as main technical interlocutor with OEMs, suppliers and engineering partners in complex or strategic matters
Supervise critical outsourced activities and assess performance against technical, safety and quality standards
Ensure effective use and continuous improvement of corporate systems and tools
Promote structured knowledge management through lessons learned, best practices and technical documentation
Provide expert support, mentoring and technical guidance to Specialists and Analysts
Contribute to the identification of training needs and the continuous development of electrical engineering competencies within the team
Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental and quality policies
Represent the company in technical matters before external stakeholders, authorities and institutions when required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering roles related to operation, maintenance or commissioning of power electrical equipment
Extensive experience in HV/LV electrical systems of wind turbines, including complex troubleshooting and major corrective actions
Proven track record acting as technical reference or lead engineer in complex or high-impact electrical incidents
Experience leading or coordinating technical activities across multiple assets or regions
Experience in international projects and multicultural environments
European B-class driving license
Proficiency with MS-Office, SAP and databases development and management
Advanced knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems of wind turbines
Expert-level troubleshooting of complex electrical and electronic failures
Advanced root cause analysis methodologies applied to electrical systems
Deep understanding of electrical safety, operational risk assessment and asset reliability
Ability to define, validate and approve technical solutions and deviations
Ability to read, write and speak Spanish and English fluently (B2)
Willingness and ability to international travel as needed (approx. 30% of business time)
Ability and willingness to provide support outside of regular business hours as needed
Strong leadership in technical decision-making and problem-solving
Ability to act as technical authority and trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders
