Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software Tester / QA Analyst 3 (QA Lead) to support a high-impact project in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for defining, managing, and executing the overall quality assurance strategy to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, a deep understanding of QA methodologies, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and own the overall QA and testing strategy across projects and releases
  • Lead test planning, execution, and reporting across: Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and UAT testing
  • Develop and maintain: Test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matrices
  • Coordinate QA efforts across internal teams and third-party vendors
  • Ensure alignment between requirements, test coverage, and acceptance criteria
  • Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution with development teams
  • Establish QA standards, best practices, and governance processes
  • Oversee test environments, test data preparation, and release readiness
  • Provide risk-based testing insights and go/no-go recommendations for releases

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • 2+ years of experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or similar leadership role
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
  • Proven experience leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Experience working within healthcare environments
