Job Description:

This is more than a 3-month contract for a Software Test Specialist; it is an opportunity to prove your expertise within an elite team driving the global energy transition. We are looking for a long-term partner to grow within our client’s ecosystem. As a Software Test Specialist, your success will be defined by your ability to ensure the robustness and excellence of embedded software and control systems. You will be the quality gatekeeper in an agile environment where technical innovation meets real-world impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and execute automated test suites to accelerate delivery cycles
  • Troubleshoot issues found during automated testing and drive sustainable fixes
  • Use simulators to ensure system resilience under extreme conditions
  • Evaluate and maintain testing tools to keep our development process cutting-edge
  • Provide critical release recommendations based on comprehensive test reports

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in software development or testing (Windows, Web, or Embedded)
  • Familiarity with tools like Cucumber, JBehave, or Smart Bear
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/UDP and serial communication protocols
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Strong analytical mind with an eye for detail
  • High level of autonomy and a results-driven approach
  • Collaborative spirit who thrives in a team-oriented culture

Nice to have:

Familiarity with tools like Cucumber, JBehave, or Smart Bear is a strong asset
