Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to provide early-stage testing and feedback, proactively identifying potential issues
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including detailed test cases, test briefs, and knowledge base articles for Quality Assurance
  • Act as the primary liaison between development and core Quality Assurance teams, addressing design questions and facilitating seamless communication
  • Provide timely and insightful feedback to QA Leads on the health and stability of assigned features and areas
  • Guide development teams on effective testing strategies and requirements to ensure thorough coverage
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues that could impact the core QA process, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows

Requirements

  • Proven experience across multiple development cycles, with a strong emphasis on platform testing
  • Deep understanding of hardware compatibility across various console generations and PC configurations, including display validation and proper functioning of platform-specific features
  • Expertise in crash investigation and reproduction, including detailed analysis, root cause isolation, and multi-configuration reproduction
  • Solid knowledge of operating system and firmware compliance, ensuring adherence to platform-holder requirements, updates, and security protocols
  • Proficiency in performance testing, covering frame rates, resolution, input latency, and loading times to ensure a smooth experience
  • Extensive experience with input and controller testing for diverse devices (controllers, keyboards, mice, adaptive controllers)
  • Familiarity with online and network feature testing, including cross-platform multiplayer, matchmaking, and cloud saves
  • Experience in storage and installation testing, covering game installation, uninstallation, updates, and storage management across different devices
  • Understanding of UI and display compatibility, ensuring proper resolution scaling, aspect ratios, HDR support, and accessibility across various screen sizes
  • Knowledge of save data and progression testing, including cross-save and cloud synchronization across platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise testing instructions or briefs
  • Experience in accurately estimating testing efforts
  • A strong willingness to continuously learn new technologies and refine existing skills
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, with comfort in interfacing effectively with Quality Assurance and Production teams

Nice to have

  • Unreal Engine experience
  • Experience testing Digital Rights Management (DRM), Anti-Cheat systems, and Data Security
  • Prior experience collaborating with Engine and Rendering teams
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Perforce, and SharePoint
  • Strong, adaptable teaching skills suitable for diverse learning styles
