Software Technical Accounting Lead Accountant, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted): Provide technical accounting guidance on software revenue recognition for complex Provide technical accounting guidance on software revenue recognition for complex transactions, acquisitions, offerings, and non-standard contract terms in collaboration with finance, pricing, and deal teams. Serve as a subject matter expert on software revenue recognition policies for accounting team members and audit focal with external auditors. Manage and support accounting teams in the U.S. and Argentina (who provide coverage for Canada and Latin America). Act as a focal point for global consistency discussions related to complex software revenue transactions with the global team in NY. Support deal teams during contract negotiations and advise accounting team members during contract reviews and with audit requests. Perform Global Revenue Allocation Tool (GRAT) analyses and assessments, SOX testing, and sample contract review testing. Lead and contribute to ad-hoc accounting projects as required. Oversee the preparation, reporting, and analysis packages compiled by accounting analysts and assist with requests directly from Corporate HQ with respect to these packages. Perform ad hoc review work as overflow support when quarter-end close volumes exceed team capacity. Document IBM Software portfolio contract review in a factsheet, present to the global Software management and stakeholders (corporate and external auditors) for approval according to established clip levels. Define and approve the accounting treatment for the signed terms and conditions for IBM Software portfolio complex contracts. Utilize: US GAAP (e.g., ASC 606, 450, 842) framework, Cognitive Contract application - Small and Large Language Models (SLM/LLM), Agile (Monday, Trello and Mural), DB2 QMF for Workstation.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related
two (2) years of experience as a Software Technical Accountant, Accounting Analyst, Accounting Digital Squad Leader or related
two (2) years of experience must include utilizing US GAAP (e.g., ASC 606, 450, 842) framework, Cognitive Contract application - Small and Large Language Models (SLM/LLM), Agile (Monday, Trello and Mural), DB2 QMF for Workstation
