Job Description:

Our client is an industry training organisation and is seeking a Software Solutions Engineer for a full-time permanent position based in the Wellington CBD. You will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of modern software solutions, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI to address key business challenges, enhance the customer experience, and boost overall efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the adoption of AI initiatives across the organisation, aligning technical execution with strategic goals
  • Build and refine scalable, secure AI systems, including LLM-enabled tools and automation platforms
  • Oversee the maintenance, support, and strategic development of the organisation's core Learning Management System (LMS) and its integration with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform
  • Ensure all systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and implemented ethically

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience developing and implementing software engineering solutions
  • In-depth understanding of AI and ML frameworks, LLMs and emerging technologies
  • Experience working with AI agents, including the design and deployment of AI solutions on cloud platforms
  • Skilled in web development and scripting languages, including PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON and Golang
  • Proficient in Object-Oriented Development using C# or comparable programming languages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have:

  • Development experience with Moodle and Totara
  • Familiarity with Linux environments
  • Experience with D365 development tools(Workflow, Power Apps, Power Automate, etc)
