Job Description:

As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be instrumental in overseeing the quality of software development from the planning stage to release. Your role involves setting quality benchmarks, ensuring compliance with processes, and conducting evaluations to maintain adherence to Automotive-SPICE regulations. You will monitor and correct deviations, ensuring that both software and hardware development align with project milestones. Additionally, you will assess functional safety and cybersecurity measures, making a vital impact on the development of cutting-edge automotive products like displays, ECUs, and camera systems. This is a dynamic role that offers the opportunity to lead assessments and influence product quality across multi-site programs.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure compliance with software development processes, providing warnings and corrective actions as needed
Review development and validation plans, ensuring timely completion in line with program goals
Monitor and verify R&D work products, tracking progress and maintaining quality standards
Conduct software assessments before product release, ensuring adherence to safety and security standards (ISO26262, ISO21434)
Support hardware quality assessments as required

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher
Fluent in English
Business-level Japanese (N2 or above)
3+ years of SQA experience in embedded software development
Experience managing multi-site programs and maintaining client relationships
Understanding of software and hardware development processes and quality standards (e.g., Automotive-SPICE, ISO)
Embedded software experience and process assessment knowledge are advantageous
