Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to establish a new capability within our Digital Products team. You will define standards and processes as well as help us to understand best practice and innovative approaches to quality, which ensure our customers have a great experience using our digital products every time. You will work with teams across our business to improve UAT, providing them with foundational tools and concepts so they are able to provide useful, thorough testing to an appropriate level. This is a strategic role which may have an element of hands on QA initially. At apetito, we are committed to providing high-quality products and services to our customers. From the recipes our chefs create to the digital platforms our customers use, we want to deliver the best to make a real difference to our customers. To help us bring this to life we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to join our growing team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Quality Assurance Process Definition: Defining process to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce time-to-market. Helping us to embed quality into every phase of our software delivery lifecycle
  • Planning and Strategy Development: Creating comprehensive QA plans and strategies that align with organisation goals, while defining clear quality metrics and standards. This includes effective documentation of the process, roles, responsibilities and procedures required to achieve effective quality management
  • Creating a culture of quality: Promoting quality as a culture rather than a phase of the software development lifecycle. Providing guidance to others in the team to show them how they can improve the quality of our products
  • Risk Management: Proactively highlighting potential quality risks within software projects and devising effective mitigation strategies to prevent issues before they arise
  • Visibility: Working with the team to benchmark and provide visibility of the quality of each of our digital products
  • Staying Current: Keeping up to date with industry developments via research / attendance at conferences, encouraging peers to do the same, then bringing that knowledge back to the team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in software quality assurance and a track record of implementing successful QA strategies across api, web, and mobile applications
  • Familiarity with modern testing methodologies and software development life cycles
  • Ability to clearly present your ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders
