Job Description

HPE Networking is accelerating its leadership in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Zero Trust security, and cloud-delivered networking. We are seeking a Software Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex software programs to join our SASE & Security organization. In this role, you will drive execution across globally distributed engineering teams focused on identity-based security, network security services, policy management, and cloud-native platforms. You will manage software programs end-to-end—from planning through release—while ensuring alignment across product, engineering, QA, cloud operations, and GTM stakeholders. This is a high‑impact opportunity to shape next-generation cloud security and networking solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of SASE and security software features, including planning, execution, risk management, validation, and deployment
  • Drive Agile/Scrum practices across distributed engineering teams, facilitating standups, backlog management, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Partner closely with Product Management to translate SASE/security product requirements into detailed plans with clear milestones and measurable outcomes
  • Manage cross-team dependencies across Mist cloud services, documentation, support, and development teams
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts—roadmaps, schedules, risk plans, dashboards, release plans, and customer-impact assessments
  • Proactively identify program risks related to architecture, cloud scalability, compliance, and security posture—driving mitigation plans to closure
  • Support secure release management, ensuring high availability, high reliability, and compliance with security best practices
  • Champion continuous improvement in processes, communication, tooling, and Agile execution across the SASE & Security teams

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of software project or program management experience, with a consistent record of delivering complex software initiatives to completion
  • Demonstrated success managing cloud-based, security, or networking software programs
  • Strong, practical understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and hands-on experience driving distributed Scrum teams
  • Deep understanding of the full SDLC, from architecture through delivery and post-release support
  • Experience in one or more relevant domains: SASE services, identity, or security policy enforcement
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
  • Networking platforms, SD-WAN, or network orchestration
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence teams and drive progress across organizational boundaries
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on execution, detail, and stakeholder alignment
  • Proficiency with modern project management and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)

Nice to have

  • Technical background in networking or security (e.g., routing/switching, identity management, encryption, API security)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud operations, distributed systems, and modern DevOps practices
  • Prior experience in large-scale, high-visibility programs within enterprise software
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM

What we offer

  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Personal & Professional Development
  • Unconditional Inclusion
  • Competitive compensation
