Amentum is seeking a Software Laboratory Senior IT Specialist to support our team in Dahlgren, VA. Strong candidates will be able to provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Typically requires specialization in particular software or business application utilized in an end user environment.

Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline with SIX (6) years of professional technical experience desired
In lieu of a college degree, EIGHT (8) years of experience in Naval Tactical Systems or Information Technology that includes SIX (6) years of experience demonstrating an established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the SOW
DoD 8570.01-M or successor Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification
Active Secret US Government Clearance
US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance
Nice to have:
CompTIA Network+ Certification
Experience with Nessus and ACAS
Strong knowledge of STIG compliance and NIST 800-53 frameworks
CCNP (or CCNA) or able to obtain within 6 months of start date
Proficiency in network security technologies—firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Experience with Cross-Domain Solution(s) configuration and review
