Job Responsibility:

  • Developing, maintaining, and supporting software systems, primarily using Microsoft development platforms including .NET (Core and Framework), SQL Server, and Azure
  • Building and supporting web integrations and APIs
  • Working with internal teams and third-party systems to deliver reliable and effective software solutions
  • Planning, managing and outcomes / deliverables from concept to transition into support
  • Delivering documentation such as HLD, LLD, implementation documents and knowledgebase articles
  • Handover of outcomes / deliverables to colleagues within the team (both on-shore and off-shore)
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to deliver software solutions
  • Develop and maintain software systems and integrations using Microsoft technologies
  • Support and enhance existing systems, ensuring reliability and performance
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of integrations and APIs
  • Follow best practices and coding standards to ensure high-quality solutions
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process and system improvements
  • Participate in code reviews and team knowledge sharing

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience developing applications using C# (.NET Core and/or .NET Framework)
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies
  • Exposure to Azure services (such as Functions, Web Apps, or Storage)
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server and basic Transact-SQL
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework or similar ORM tools
  • Experience working with Web Services (REST APIs
  • SOAP knowledge beneficial but not essential)
  • Understanding of coding best practices (e.g., SOLID principles)
  • Experience using Git for source control
  • Basic understanding of unit testing concepts
  • Ability to understand and work from technical requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Azure Service Bus or messaging concepts
  • Awareness of API security concepts (ie, OAuth2)
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience of working within an Agile development environment
  • Microsoft certifications (or working towards)
