Job Description

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Software Integration Engineer 4 to support advanced integration and operation of software within high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This role emphasizes mission operations infrastructure, including automation, monitoring, alerting, and resiliency at scale. The ideal candidate will lead software integration efforts, troubleshoot complex customer configurations, and ensure high availability across enterprise HPC environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, and maintain COTS and GOTS software in heterogeneous environments
  • Support HPC systems and applications to ensure continuous mission operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and infrastructure issues across Linux environments
  • Lead automation, monitoring, and resiliency initiatives across mission systems
  • Oversee customer use case configuration and advanced troubleshooting efforts
  • Develop and optimize scripts and tools using Python, Bash, and C
  • Implement and manage automation frameworks (Salt, Ansible)
  • Architect and maintain monitoring/alerting solutions (Nagios/Thruk, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
  • Manage code repositories and workflows using Git-based tools (e.g., Gitbucket)
  • Collaborate across teams using Jira, Confluence, and Slurm for system orchestration and workload management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (5 additional years of experience may substitute)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting software integration in complex Linux environments
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
  • Advanced experience with Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, SLES, Ubuntu) and programming/scripting (Python, Bash, C)
  • Experience leading automation, monitoring, and infrastructure tooling efforts (Ansible, Salt, Nagios/Thruk, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants
  • This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
  • Certification Requirements: DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
