Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IBM z/Linux Systems Administrator to join our Mainframe Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both z/OS and zLinux systems administration. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of our IBM z/OS and Linux systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our server infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

Administer and maintain IBM z/OS and Linux environments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency
Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols to ensure data integrity and security compliance
Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployments and system integrations
Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to IBM z/Linux systems
Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users as needed
Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity
Risk and Cost Management

Requirements:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in mainframe architecture, operating systems, and related technologies
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on IBM z/OS and Linux environments
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation tasks
Familiarity with system monitoring tools and performance tuning
Understanding of network protocols, security, and backup solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
