Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineering Senior Manager.
Job Responsibility
Manage, coach, and develop a team or teams of experienced engineers and engineering managers
Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirements with each release
Partner with, engage and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies
Function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning
Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks
Determine appropriate strategy and actions to act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and the teams
Build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment
Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology
Collaborate with, partner with and influence Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction
Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers
Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met
Hire, build and guide a culture of talent development
Requirements
7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of management or leadership experience
Strong hands-on experience in building cloud-native applications using Java, leveraging modern frameworks and microservices architecture
Deep expertise in AI/ML technologies, including development of risk scoring models and intelligent decisioning systems
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure & GCP), including scalable architecture, security, and DevSecOps practices
Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts, including authentication, authorization, access governance (RBAC/ABAC/ReBAC), identity lifecycle management, and privileged access management
Experience in workflow automation (Java, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
Experience implementing IAM capabilities including RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, SAML, OIDC/OAuth, certifications, credential management, and regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR)
Strong experience with IAM technologies such as Okta (MFA, SSO, IGA, Workflows, PAM), Active Directory, Entra ID/M365, Saviynt & CyberArk
Experience with databases (Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL, etc.)
Experience with directory services (LDAP, Active Directory)
Experience with Security Event and Incident Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Graphana etc.
Strong people leadership experience, including managing multiple agile teams, talent development, and performance management
Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and lead high-performing engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and succession planning
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business and technology functions
