Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineering Senior Manager to manage, coach, and develop a team of experienced engineers and engineering managers responsible for building high quality capabilities with modern technology. The role involves ensuring adherence to Banking Platform Architecture, partnering with architects to incorporate technical strategies, functioning as technical representative, identifying technology roadblocks, and driving innovative solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Manage, coach, and develop a team or teams of experienced engineers and engineering managers
Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirements with each release
Partner with, engage and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies
Function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning
Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks
Determine appropriate strategy and actions to act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and the teams
Build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews
Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology
Collaborate with, partner with and influence Product Managers/Product Owners
Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers
Manage allocation of people and financial resources
Hire, build and guide a culture of talent development

Requirements:

6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of management or leadership experience
6+ years of hands-on experience on full stack development and comprehensive understanding of any Full stack development either Java, Python, .net
Good Understanding of the AI and ML Frameworks and solution, especially considering Technology & Data Strategy
Hands on experience in running Data Strategy for the team – Hadoop, Pyspark, ETL, Reporting PowerBI, PowerAutomate
Understanding of a Cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines
Good Understanding of Microservices and associated design patterns
Should be able to drive teams in exploring new and futuristic frameworks
Should have driven and owned high priority global projects end to end

Nice to have:

Good Understanding of the AI and ML Frameworks and solution, especially considering Technology & Data Strategy
Should be able to drive teams in exploring new and futuristic frameworks
