SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER - PERMANENT - CRAWLEY West Sussex I seek 2 Software Engineering Managers who have managed teams of 10 to 15 heads in size and who could add value to programmes through their knowledge of Software / Systems Engineering programmes and processes. You will have a proven ability managing technical delivery and projects with software and hardware content. You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of software projects, work packages and product developments.

  • Proven ability managing technical delivery and projects with software and hardware content
  • Specialist engineering knowledge and a proven ability in the management of software teams responsible for software development for software intensive systems & work packages
  • Able to deliver software development programmes to time, cost, quality
  • Ability in software delivery estimation techniques and identifying best practice approaches
  • Identification and application of software development lifecycles to delivery programmes & management of software development risk
  • Planning and leading software work-package and delivery projects
  • Leading software design activities and providing engineering support throughout the design, test and acceptance phases to ensure specifications are met, problem areas and risks are identified, and design is fit for purpose
  • Documenting the design process including demonstrating the verification of system
