Job Responsibility

  • Drive the execution and delivery of product/software solution by managing and leading a team of skilled professional engineers
  • Being in a leadership role, work closely with the team to strategize and execute on delivering production grade solutions across market segment
  • Gather requirements, implement, and deliver committed scope meeting release schedule without compromising the quality
  • Identify and allocate resources which includes human resources, tools, techniques, equipment based on KPI metrics
  • Optimize CAPEX/OPEX during project delivery, extend for future use in regressions
  • Agility through automation
  • Guide the team in building test plans based on specifications and customer use-case across segments
  • Own functional qualifications right from inception to production in regression
  • Must educate the team on the goals and business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with the team
  • Stay up to date on product roadmaps, specifications, performance criteria, in addition to competitors’ solutions, amongst others
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams, architects, and executives
  • Working closely with HPE-Juniper product development and business unit architecture teams to understand product/feature requirements and solutions in alignment with customer business/network priorities
  • Build strong relationships with the senior leadership to understand the business objectives and translate into project deliverables
  • Highlight and brainstorm emerging technologies and customer use cases for betterment of the product deliverables
  • Make critical decisions which attributes to the success of the product and solution
  • Work with stakeholders to review project and execution plan
  • Define entry and exit criteria for each phase of the project
  • Identify and have mitigation plans for identified risks
  • Consolidation and projection of project deliverables on preset regular intervals
  • Should be able to gather and consolidate the deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Project and report the deliverables to all stakeholders
  • Identify and manage the risks
  • Influence and maintain high morale by motivating engineers to deliver to their maximum potential
  • Lead by an example by influencing and building trust among the team
  • Reward and recognize talented individuals
  • Provide technical guidance on career development

Requirements

  • B.S or M.S in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 13+ years of experience in networking industry including experience in leading and managing technical professional team of engineers
  • Strong knowledge of HPE-Juniper Networks products and solutions
  • The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with other vendor routers like Cisco, Nokia router/switch
  • Working knowledge of UNIX
  • proficiency in a scripting language, such as Python, Perl, Expect, would be a plus
  • Experience in various test methodologies white box, black box, scale and performance, solution testing is desirable
  • Certification like JNCIS or equivalent would be highly desirable
  • IP / MPLS routing
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and related protocols such as Ethernet, OSPF, ISIS, L2VPN, L3VPN, GRE, IPSec, NAT, HTTP, NetConf, REST API, BGP, MPLS, EVPN-MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, SRv6, Multicast
  • Automation programming skills (Python, Perl) network virtualization, containerization, and Software Defined Networking (SDN) knowledge, K8s, RHOCP, Docker is required
  • Layer 2 technologies, Spanning Tree, LAG, MC-LAG, Virtual Chassis
  • Broadband Access protocols, Radius, Diameter, DHCP, PPP, PPPoE, L2TP, Accounting, QoS, Filters, Policers, PCF, PCRF, AGF, UPF
  • CLOS Architecture, HA Design Concepts, EVPN, VPLS
  • Leadership qualities to hire, reward and retain talented professional team
