Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS) is seeking a smart, creative, and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a squad dedicated to our high-stakes Enterprise and Corporate B2B partners. You will be at the heart of our mission to revolutionize travel technology for global giants. In this role, you aren't just a manager—you are a technical steward and a people multiplier. You will lead a high-performing team of talented engineers building complex, distributed systems that handle millions of transactions. You'll navigate the intersection of technical excellence, enterprise-grade reliability, and the rapid 'zero-to-one' pace that defines Hopper.
Job Responsibility:
Hire, mentor, and coach a multidisciplinary squad
build a high-trust culture where engineers are empowered
partner with product teams to translate partner needs into technical roadmaps
lead architectural reviews
help unblock complex debugging sessions
ensure stack remains scalable and resilient
own the 'run' of the team's services
establish on-call rotations
drive down technical debt
ensure systems meet strict SLAs
act as primary technical point of contact for external partners
explain complex system constraints to non-technical stakeholders
advocate for the best technical path forward
Requirements:
2+ years of experience leading engineering teams
7+ years in software development
ideally with JVM/Scala or React experience
comfortable with ambiguity and building the 'MVP' without sacrificing long-term system integrity
experience with microservices, distributed systems, and designing robust APIs for global enterprise use
prefer a 'ship and iterate' approach
proven track record of growing junior engineers into seniors and seniors into leads/architects
