Job Description:

Lead the development of a modern data foundation that powers decision-making and digital products across IKEA. Work hands-on with architecture, data engineering, and product development while guiding a team and collaborating across functions. The CMP data foundation will be a critical part of our ecosystem, supporting several use cases related to the CMP and overall IKEA retail establishment process, as well as the performance of CMP and Franchisees.

Job Responsibility:

Be accountable for engineering and data architecture within the CMP data foundation team
Align engineering work across different teams
Lead by example working hands-on on solutions day to day
Collaborate with digital architecture to ensure overall solution and implementation fit together
Act as ambassador for data engineering, data architecture, and security best practices
Onboard new engineers in the CMP data foundation team
Contribute to exploring and developing new technologies
Act as senior contributor to broader technology organization
Support overall scope and roadmap of CMP data foundation team
Support with team establishment
Establish and own CMP data products
Establish and own data models and data transformations
Establish and operate data pipelines end-to-end on Azure
Design clean data marts for self-serve analytics and Power BI
Build useful Power BI models/dashboards
Document data models, lineage, and decisions
Establish data foundation infrastructure and DevOps principles

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of data architecture and data engineering experience
Minimum 3 years of hands-on data engineering and data product creation in line with data mesh principles
Strong familiarity with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience in agile and domain-driven product development
Good at leading others as well as yourself with inclusiveness and togetherness
Strong interpersonal skills and adept at explaining and presenting
Extensive software, data engineering, and data architecture experience
Experience working with architecture functions and other engineers
Curious to learn new things
Ready to roll up sleeves and be fully hands-on in establishing overall data architecture and building data products
